Distribution

C. s. longiceps: S Sudan. It is specially protected and occurs in Bangangai, Bire Kpatuos and Mbarizunga Game Reserve.

Ecology

The yellow-backed duiker occurs in all forest associations within the tropics, befitting its name, as well savanna woodland and miombo. It is often found close to swamps, but it likes to shelter from rain. This duiker lives solitary in territories. Termite mounds serve there as "observing posts".
